I want you to have a think about where you are in your business right now. How are you finding clients, or perhaps more importantly how are they finding you?

Make a list of all the ways you currently find work and what the pros and cons of each of these are. Download the worksheet below to help you list these out. Some examples might be freelancer websites (which ones?), agencies (list them if you are on the books of more than one), online directories for your industry, your own website, social media (which platforms?), paid advertising (where?), physical brochures/leaflets, repeat clients, referrals/word of mouth, and any other sources of work you can think of.

Are these methods serving you well? Are you getting a good return on the time and money you invest?

Could business networking replace or enhance any of the methods you currently use?
